Incorporated on July
1, 1983, the City of San Ramon is located on 11 square miles of the
San Ramon Valley, approximately 25 miles east of the City of Oakland
in the San Francisco Bay Area. The San Ramon Valley has long been
considered one of the most desirable living areas in the Bay Area
because of its scenic beauty, good climate, suburban charm, and
proximity to the Bay Area's major employment centers. San Ramon is
at the heart of the valley and is surrounded by the prosperous
communities of Alamo, Blackhawk, Danville, and Diablo.
San Ramon
encompasses a major regional employment center, Bishop Ranch, which
houses over 200 companies. Over 18,000 office workers commute daily
to the employment center. San Ramon commuters are sewed by both
Interstate 680 and Interstate 580.Fast and efficient bus service is
provided to the Bishop Ranch Office Park as well as to the Walnut
Creek and Dublin Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) stations to the north
and south respectively.
San Ramon, with
over 41,000 residents, is one of seven cities within the San Ramon
Valley/Tri-Valley Market Area. The Primary market area, which is
considered to be within 15 driving minutes of San Ramon, contains
over 278,000 potential customers. San Ramon is a community where the
